Position : Trademark Lawyer (5+ Years' Experience)

We are a boutique law firm seeking an experienced Trademark Lawyer to join our Intellectual Property team. This is an excellent opportunity for a trademark professional looking to work on both Thai and international trademark matters, including global portfolio management, cross-border filings, and strategic IP advisory work for domestic and international clients.

    Key Responsibilities
  • Thai Trademark Prosecution: Handle all aspects of Thai trademark prosecution, including filings, examination responses, registrations, renewals, recordals, and portfolio management.
  • Strategic Advisory: Advise clients on trademark clearance, registrability, protection, enforcement, and commercialization. Develop global trademark filing strategies and cross-border brand protection.
  • Contentious Matters: Manage trademark oppositions, cancellations, appeals, and other contentious IP issues.
  • International Portfolio Management: Handle international trademark filings, including Madrid System applications, and coordinate overseas trademark filings through foreign associates across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Legal Drafting & Documentation: Prepare legal opinions, draft and review trademark-related agreements (such as assignments, licenses, coexistence agreements, and settlement agreements).
  • Client & Network Relations: Maintain strong relationships and direct communication with international clients and foreign associate law firms.
    Qualifications
  • Education: LL.B. degree (LL.M. is a plus).
  • Licensure: Licensed lawyer in Thailand.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of trademark practice experience, preferably with a reputable law firm or IP firm.
  • Legal Expertise: Strong knowledge of Thai trademark law and practice, with proven experience handling international trademark filings (including the Madrid System) and familiarity with trademark procedures in major jurisdictions.
  • Language Skills: Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Core Competencies: Strong drafting, analytical, client management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
